Art in history, progressive or repetitive

Abstract

Art in each period of its expression is based on the paradigm and patterns of that period. It seems that what has expanded in the field of art and its progress is the scope of its expressive mediums. Scientific tools have set new patterns for artists, and artists have used these tools to bring new visual domains to their audiences.

The purpose of this research is to study the process of progress in art and to achieve this purpose, “art” is in the context of its different definitions and “progress of art” in theories in this field such as representation, ‌expression, Significant form, institutional theory, innovation, and artist intent have been studied.

It seems that what has progressed in the field of art is the expansion of the mediums of artistic expression (expressive intermediaries) and the technological fields of the presentation of works of art, not merely art itself. Because the goal of art is not just to progress and move forward; Rather, it is finding patterns of expression appropriate to one’s period and responding to the paradigm of that period. The mediums have increased the visible fields and expanded the way of recording these visible fields, and it seems that what has been accompanied by progress in the field of art is its scope of software.
